Substance in Philosophy

What are substances? In science, Substances are those basic stuff, of which this earth is composed of. Substances are matter, which has mass and occupy space. But in Philosophy, substances are those things which have their own independent existence. They are not dependent on any other thing for their existence, other then their own self. They are "causa-sui" or self-caused. Now, what are attributes? Attributes basically means Qualities of a substance. Substance has it's own independent existence and have some qualities in it. Apple is a substance and it has some qualities like it is solid, red in color, spherical in shape, sweet in taste, has mass, density, etc. The other example can be of a table. Table is a substance which has qualities like length, breadth, height, solidity, mass, density, etc. What if these Qualities are totally ripped of? Searching God🔍

What is meant by moksha when it is described as liberation from the cycle of birth and death? This cycle of birth and death is the symbolic representation of how everything in this universe moves in a sinusoidal curve. Happiness is followed by sadness, success is followed by failure, creation is followed by destruction, birth is followed by death, high is followed by low, excitement is followed by boredom and so on. What exactly is this cycle trying to tell and Why this even exist? It happens so natural that we don't bother to question the curve. It seems someone deliberately keep the things going in this way only. Since it's so big and beyond human control, we have GOD! Though God exists in human society for a variety of other reasons too, for example, the Freudian interpretation of existence of God in his "Wi...

Contentment

Why is there always an emptiness, an unexplainable void? Why the heart always keeps longing for something? Why isn't it contended? Where is contentment to be found? Just as money can't buy me contentment, in the same way, neither experiences nor knowledge can give me contentment. Nothing outside me, can give me contentment. There is no moksha to be attained. There is no journey to be travelled in time, where at some point in future, the goal of contentment is to be achieved.  All it requires is to open my eyes and realise, I am already contended. I am already complete. I am already secured. Nothing can be snatched from me that would make me incomplete. I am all good and perfectly fine. There is no journey to be travelled, neither externally in this material world, nor internally in our spiritual world. I am already at the destination. I am already a winner, as everybody is. And since I am at my destination, now is the time to live, to enjoy, to get wilder, to get playful, to ...
