Debunking Discipline

Look around now a days... Capitalism has sold you a disciplined and routined life as something worthy of, whereas discipline is disguised modern slavery. They ask you to keep working, keep being productive even when your mind and body signals you to give up, they want to extract last drop of your soul and keep you working/productive till your last breath. The funny thing is they convinced you that it's good, it's better for you. They want you to be enslaved and chained in the garb of being disciplined and being productive. Productivity is for slaves. A monotonous routine life is what brings you on the verge of nervous breakdown and mental collapse. It happens because humans are not meant for a routined life. A disciplined life asks you to eat at a certain time, sleep at a fixed time, work for fixed number of hours, and keep doing these repeatedly on loop for years. Imagine what will it do to your soul and mind. It eventually extracts the life out of you and you just remains a ...

Substance in Philosophy

What are substances? In science, Substances are those basic stuff, of which this earth is composed of. Substances are matter, which has mass and occupy space. But in Philosophy, substances are those things which have their own independent existence. They are not dependent on any other thing for their existence, other then their own self. They are "causa-sui" or self-caused. Now, what are attributes? Attributes basically means Qualities of a substance. Substance has it's own independent existence and have some qualities in it. Apple is a substance and it has some qualities like it is solid, red in color, spherical in shape, sweet in taste, has mass, density, etc. The other example can be of a table. Table is a substance which has qualities like length, breadth, height, solidity, mass, density, etc. What if these Qualities are totally ripped of? Will there be any table or apple left without it's length, breadth, height, colour, mass, composition, etc. Can you just imag...

Searching God🔍

What is meant by moksha when it is described as liberation from the cycle of birth and death? This cycle of birth and death is the symbolic representation of how everything in this universe moves in a sinusoidal curve. Happiness is followed by sadness, success is followed by failure, creation is followed by destruction, birth is followed by death, high is followed by low, excitement is followed by boredom and so on. What exactly is this cycle trying to tell and Why this even exist? It happens so natural that we don't bother to question the curve. Why the curve of almost all the phenomenon happening in this universe is sinusoidal only, and never a straight line or a parabola or a hyperbola or something else. It seems someone deliberately keep the things going in this way only. Since it's so big and beyond human control, we have GOD! Though God exists in human society for a variety of other reasons too, for example, the Freudian interpretation of existence of God in his "Wi...

Contentment

Why is there always an emptiness, an unexplainable void? Why the heart always keeps longing for something? Why isn't it contended? Where is contentment to be found? Just as money can't buy me contentment, in the same way, neither experiences nor knowledge can give me contentment. Nothing outside me, can give me contentment. There is no moksha to be attained. There is no journey to be travelled in time, where at some point in future, the goal of contentment is to be achieved.  All it requires is to open my eyes and realise, I am already contended. I am already complete. I am already secured. Nothing can be snatched from me that would make me incomplete. I am all good and perfectly fine. There is no journey to be travelled, neither externally in this material world, nor internally in our spiritual world. I am already at the destination. I am already a winner, as everybody is. And since I am at my destination, now is the time to live, to enjoy, to get wilder, to get playful, to ...

Break the Bondages

Break the bondages and if that would mean losing friends, family and relatives, so be it. Break the bondages and if that would mean losing money, respect, fame and prestige, so be it. Break the bondages and if that would mean losing the previous beliefs, prejudices and superstitions, so be it. Break the bondages and if that would mean depression, loneliness, ostracisation, pain and suffering, So be it. Break the bondages and if that would mean losing yourself, so be it. There isn't any joy as that of being free. Freedom is the only virtue there is!

Only Pain is Real

When you feel bad, lonely, disappointed, stressed, anxious, fearful, sad and seeks a path of pleasure to avoid the brutal reality, that's generally called, escapism. You escape only because something is real which hurts and since it's hurting, that is the proof that it's real because what makes you delighted and happy can be true or false. It's real because it guarantees you your existence, it's real because it gives you a sense that you are awake and being awakened is pain.  Ok, if it pains, it's real. What is real needs to be tackled rightly by reflecting over it, thinking and analysing about it because it pains and man desire pleasure. To desire pleasure is not wrong, to desire pleasure through the path of escapism is wrong because what it ultimately gives you is pain in the form of guilt and regret. So, it's just illusioning and not a real solution. A real problem needs a real solution. What is the real solution? Real solution is.... Wake up like a MAN...

Just Observation

In order to keep yourself sane, you must understand Life and if you don't, you have to go insane at some point in your life. You can understand Life only by neutral and just observation of it. And by merely observing the life, you will come to understand the futility of any and every thought, action or feeling. Just the mere observation will expose the futility of existence and then, happens what we call "Existential crisis". This can be the most beautiful event or the worst nightmare that can happen to you. Make it a beautiful event by sharpening your observation skills. And eventually in the process will come a moment in the heightened state of consciousness, that the observer is dissolved and becomes non-existent. Now what remains is what is observed. This is a state of non-duality of existence.  This, Shankaracharya calls, Advaita, which is the ultimate reality.  In words of Krishnamurthy sir, this is a state of, "When the Observer gets Observed". And when...
